Coming off of the road for a stint or working on a new album? We are able to accommodate your basic storage needs. Your backline, set, risers, audio, automation, carts, hampers, lighting, and all other toys now have a discreet place to live.

Founded in 2003, Carolina Backline has been the greater Charlotte anchor for musical instrument rental. Growing from a small collection and a love of music, the Taylor family grew 'CBC' into a professional and well respected backline company that everyone can count on.

About usAfter 15 years, Ed turned over the reins of Carolina Backline to a team of experienced backine vendors and touring professionals. We want to say thank you to the Taylor family for entrusting us in continuing to develop what you have started nearly 20 years ago and for passing the torch to Tony, David, and myself. While there is a slightly new look with the new Carolina Backline, the goal of new ownership is to maintain the respect & integrity that is expected from the friends and clients Ed grew with along the way.

How can I get a quote?

Contact us with your gear needs or the artist rider. Please include the date(s) needed as well as location and times. Discounts are provided for multi-day rentals.

Do you deliver and pickup?

We can deliver and pickup from almost any location round the globe. Cartage services are also available. Send us your event details and we will respond with a quote.
Alternately, clients may choose to pickup and return from our warehouse. Our drive in ramp and truck dock makes any order a breeze.

How can I make my event run smoothly?

Beyond delivery and pickup we can provide technician services. Options for gear setup and strike as well as all day maintenance are available. We can work within your budget to fit any needs.

Do you rent audio equipment?

In order to provide the highest quality in backline services we do not rent audio equipment. However, we will happily connect you with our preferred audio providers to assist on your production needs.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Generally advance payment is required. We will provide an itemized equipment list with a payment link. Major credit cards are preferred, company checks are also accepted.
